Can't buy my love? Yes you can.

Check this out - never thought of it, but it is actually possible to quantify love and appreciation. And for myself the equation would look even better; I would put in all the stuff that he says and then put a price on the sweet, statisfying feeling of power and controll..hum..I would have to think about that..but it should at least be worth a couple of hundred bucks!

  1. I am not sure I can see how you can convert “down- time” as the same value as “productive –time”.
Using this logic you can equate your whole waking hours as potential productive time. If you save hours by not watching TV commercials this does not mean you will watch less TV.

  2. Commercial are also used as little breaks.
Fill up my cup of thee, eat something, hug my boy, stratch my laying body on the coach, organise my dinner-plate in the kitchen or simply speak about the movie. I like commercials when they are new, funny, beautiful and touching; their high amount and repetition can annoy me so much that I will put off the TV. With Tivo, it would be very difficult to stop. Commercials make me realise the amount of time I spend watching TV. To be attractive to me, Tivo should be able to delete certain types of commercials I would choose (cleaning products...) then I will agree that Tivo is saving me my precious time.
